preset temperture

I want to know the preset temperature in PLA.

And I want to know why I made that value.

Thank you very much for your question.

The PLA presets that are included by default in the firmware of the Filament Maker are : 

H4 : 170°C
H3 : 185°C
H2 : 190°C
H1 : 170°C
screw speed : 3.5RPM
fancooling : 80%

These are valid for 1.75mm. The 2.85mm presets are very similar. 

These settings were found experimentally by following this methodology : https://support.3devo.com/how-to-start-the-extrusion/ (section 4). 
They are optimized for the grade of PLA supplied by 3devo : 4043D. If you are working with another grade of PLA, you mmight have to adjust the settings.

The temperature profile (low-high-low) tries to melt the plastic gradually (not too soon, not too late in the barrel) in order to build up good pressure and result in a stable output ; this is a common strategy. The one parameter that can be changed easily is the fancooling, because it depends on the temperature in your room.

I am sorry, I am not sure I understand your question.

Do you mean the residence time : the time that a particle spends inside the machine to travel from the hopper (input) and nozzle (output) ? 

That would depend on the screw speed (RPM). Under normal conditions, I would say 5-10min.
