Filament Maker X10 – Network Connection and IP Address
The Filament Maker X10 can connect to a Local Area Network (LAN) to provide access to its machine interface, Filament Sensor feed, and data dashboard.
The X10 communicates within the local network and does not share machine information outside the LAN.
⚠️ Important: Before connecting the X10 to a network, make sure the network is secure and follows your organization's network-security policies.
Network Ports
The X10 uses the following ports:
| Port | Function |
|---|---|
| 80 | User interface and remote control |
| 8000 | Filament Sensor video stream |
| 8086 | InfluxDB data dashboard |
- Power on the Filament Maker X10.
- Wait for the machine to complete the boot process.
- Connect an Ethernet cable between the X10 and your local network.
- Open the machine Settings.
- Note the X10's IP address.
- Note the InfluxDB dashboard login credentials.
💡 Tip: Keep the IP address and dashboard credentials available for future access.
DHCP and Static IP Addresses
By default, the Filament Maker X10 can obtain an IP address automatically through DHCP.
For easier repeated access, a static IP address can be assigned.
A static IP can help ensure that the X10 remains accessible at the same address after network changes. Static IP configuration can typically be performed through your router's administration interface.
