How to download CSV data from InfluxDB

Influx DB is the data monitoring platform that accompanies the Filament Maker TWO. It also needs to be given permission to allow CSV data for download.

Make sure your computer is using the same network as the Filament Maker TWO, or that
you are connected via a cable. More about this here

Connect your Filament Maker via an appropriate browser

Copy and paste the following sequence to the search bar in your browser:

browsername://flags/#unsafely-treat-insecure-origin-as-secure

Examples:

For instance, for Google Chrome you should copy and paste:

chrome://flags/#unsafely-treat-insecure-origin-as-secure

if you are using Microsoft Edge you should copy paste this:

edge://flags/#unsafely-treat-insecure-origin-as-secure

Note: InfluxDB is currently not compatible with Safari, please use a different browser.

Enable Permissions

1. Select and enable the option “Insecure origins treated as secure”

2. Copy paste IP address of machine in this format:

XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:8086

(.8086 should be present at the end of the sequence)

3. Relaunch your browser (your browser should prompt you to do this automatically)

Configure InfluxDB with new changes

1. Open Influx → login with credentials as normal

2. Navigate to the Data Explorer tab.

Before this procedure this is what you would see:

After completing steps 1 and 2 you should now see a “CSV” button. You can also select the timeframe of the data you wish to download from the dropdown menu.

You can select which data you wish to download as shown below.
