Filament Maker X10 – Update the Firmware

Keeping the Filament Maker X10 firmware up to date helps maintain machine safety, privacy, security, and overall system performance.

The firmware can be updated in two ways:

  • Via Ethernet – the easiest and recommended method when an active internet connection is available.
  • Via USB – an offline alternative when the machine cannot access the internet.

⚠️ Important: Always use the latest firmware provided by 3devo and follow the update procedure carefully.

Update via Ethernet

Updating through Ethernet is the easiest way to keep the Filament Maker X10 firmware current.

The Filament Maker X10 must be connected to a network router that provides an active internet connection.

The machine automatically checks for available firmware updates whenever it restarts. You can also manually check for an update through the touchscreen.

Step 1 – Open Settings

From the Filament Maker X10 main menu, select Settings.

Step 2 – Open Firmware

Select Firmware.

Step 3 – Check for Updates

Select Check Latest Firmware Version.

Step 4 – Install the Update

Wait while the machine searches for the latest firmware.

If an update is available, the machine will download and install the firmware.

💡 Tip: Allow the update to complete before interrupting or powering down the machine.

Update via USB

If the Filament Maker X10 does not have access to an active internet connection, the firmware can be updated offline using a USB drive.

Step 1 – Download the Latest Firmware

Visit the 3devo firmware page and follow the instructions to download the latest firmware file to your computer:

The machine will detect the firmware file on the USB drive and install the update.
