Warning!

The calibration kit is required before updating to the firmware version 0.3.0, to be released October 2025! After updating the firmware, the machine has to be calibrated with the new calibration kit.

Important!

This is a NEW calibration procedure that is carried out with the Optimization Kit, and the new firmware update 0.3.0.

For the previous calibration process, head to this article. Naturally, please ensure you carry out the correct calibration procedure with the correct rods and firmware version.

Calibration Guide

The step by step instructions can be found on the new senser view landing page. Below are additional pictures to help illustrate the procedure.

1. Ensure the machine is turned on, but NOT extruding. We we need to access the extrusion area safely, and without risk of burns.  DSCF5806

Step 3: Save Calibration

If any of the calibrations fail, the UI will let you know.
It is most likely due to one of the following reasons:

  • the calibrate background was pressed while there is something present in the sensor
  • the calibration A/B button was pressed without the correct rod present
  • the rod was moving around too fast
  • the rod left the range of the camera during movement
