This is an easy maintenance procedure for when the current nozzle cover is worn out or damaged in any way. Follow the instructions below.

Overview
The nozzle cover (small circular disk) rests below the nozzle and is held in place by the nozzle plate (large black metallic panel).
It is particularly important to avoid backflow, preventing any damage to the inside of the extrusion system. It also functions as added insulation.
Maintenance kit

Steps:
1. Ensure the machine is turned OFF and the extrusion area is cool and safe to access. The temperature can be verified in the “temperature settings”.
2. Open the door.

3. Remove the front panel by removing all 4 screws.

4. Slide out the nozzle plate.
Note: The nozzle cover might fall off or remain seated on the nozzle.

5. Verify the quality of the nozzle cover and if worn, replace it.

6. Press the new nozzle cover against the bottom side of the nozzle with the markings facing up.

7. Slide the nozzle plate in place and check if the nozzle, nozzle cover, and nozzle plate are correctly aligned.

8. Reattach the front panel by the 4 screws.
If you notice damage on the nozzle cover, it might be useful to inspect the nozzle, too as part of a maintenance check.
